1. About these terms
welovedecode.com is run by WeLoveDecode FZE LLC ("Decode", "we"). These terms apply to everyone who uses the gifting platform. By using it, you accept them.
2. What Decode does
Decode provides a gifting platform. Shops and service providers ("sellers") create gift pages. Anyone ("payer") can pay for a gift for the person named on a page ("recipient"). The seller then delivers the gift, has it collected, or provides the service.
Decode is a technology platform only. Decode is not the seller and is not a party to the sale. The sale is between the payer and the seller.
3. The seller is responsible for
- The product or service, its price, quality and description.
- Delivery, collection or the appointment.
- Exchanges, refunds and the invoice.
- Following the law that applies to its business.
4. Gift page terms
Each gift page shows its own terms and refund policy before payment. They apply to that purchase together with these terms. Where they differ, the gift page terms apply.
5. Payment
- Payment is taken once, by card or wallet, in the currency shown on the gift page.
- Payments are processed by a secure payment processor. Your card details are entered directly with the processor; Decode never sees or stores them.
- The payment goes to the seller's own payment account. Your card statement shows the seller's name.
- You pay the seller's price shown on the gift page. Decode adds no extra fees to it.
6. Handover
By paying, you agree that the recipient receives the gift or service for you, and that your purchase is complete once the recipient receives it.
7. Refunds and cancellations
- Refunds and cancellations follow the seller's refund policy shown on the gift page before payment.
- If the seller cannot provide the gift or service, the purchase is refunded in full.
- Requests for refunds, exchanges or cancellations go to the seller, using the contact shown on the gift page.
- Refunds go back to the card or wallet used to pay and take 5 to 10 working days to appear.
- Decode does not hold payments and does not issue refunds.
8. Questions and disputes
For questions about a gift, contact the seller first. If the matter is not solved, contact us and we will try to help. Please contact the seller before opening a dispute with your bank.
9. Sellers
Sellers must hold a valid trade licence, have the right to sell what they offer, and keep their details correct. A seller's own agreement with Decode applies in addition to these terms.
10. Use of the platform
You must not:
- Use the platform for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading.
- Upload content that is offensive, unlawful or belongs to someone else.
- Try to access data or accounts that are not yours, or disturb the platform.
We may remove content, gift pages or accounts that break these terms, without notice.
11. Content
The platform, its design and software belong to Decode. You keep the rights to the content you add, and allow Decode to show it on the platform for the purpose of the gift. You must have the right to use any content you add.
12. Liability
- The platform is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it available but cannot promise it will always work without interruption.
- Decode is not responsible for the products or services sold by sellers, or for what sellers, payers or recipients do.
- Decode is not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit or lost opportunity.
- Where Decode is liable, its liability is limited to the fees Decode received for the payment concerned.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under UAE consumer law.
13. Privacy
How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. A payment is governed by the terms in force when it was made.
15. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes are settled by the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates.
